Glenda has enjoyed a career as a classical singer and musical theatre artist, teacher and yoga instructor. More recently she expanded her interests to include painting. It is now her most satisfying pastime. She has studied with Nicole Sleeth, Noah Layne and online with Max Ginsburg. She took first prize in Duane Keiser’s “Painting a Day” workshop exhibition and has shown her work at Arts and Culture Colwood Society as well as the Metchosin ArtPod.
StatementI am a late-comer to the visual arts. I began to study painting with Nicole Sleeth in Victoria in 2018 and continue to be very grateful for her classical instruction. Since the pandemic I practice almost daily in my little home studio and currently take classes with Noah Layne. I’m not sure at what point practice ends and mastery begins, but I am inspired to keep going, one brush stroke after another.
